How We Work
We deliver cloud based software systems that improve business efficiency
It's easy to get bogged down in industry standards and processes like Zachman, Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), these are important because they give customers confidence that the people at the firm they've engaged to deliver a project know what they are doing, but they are not in our opinion hard and fast 'rules of engagement'.
It is arguably more important to deliver a working solution not only within the allotted time frame and within budget but also a solution that people will use, and enjoy using.
Yes we have used the Waterfall method for software development and will use mixes of the Waterfall and SCRUM methods and we do believe that the four main areas that TOGAF describes are important;
- Business architecture
- Describes the processes the business uses to meet its goals - Application architecture
- Describes how specific applications are designed and how they interact - Data architecture
- Describes how the enterprise data stores are organised and accessed - Technical architecture
- Describes the hardware and software infrastructure that supports the applications
In fact if you're interested this article is a good comparison of the top four Enterprise Architecture Methodologies #yawn. But what's not listed above is what we call the 'secret sauce', this is the skill that brings these things together into a working IT system that helps not hinders a business.
In harsh economic times it's important to demonstrate that you can deliver a solution on time and within budget and that people love to use, our testimonials attest to that.
If you have questions that the above doesn't answer then please take a look at our FAQ (frequently asked questions) or contact us for a chat, we don't charge for initial phone advice.
